The Art of Mixing

Take a deep dive into the art of mixing with an intimate cohort of other music producers. In this cohort, we will be exploring gain staging, EQ'ing, compression, limiting, maximizing the stereo field and the differences between mixing and mastering. We will provide you with weekly readings and homework, and you will have the opportunity to connect with others in the cohort each week for feedback and networking. By the end of the 6 weeks, you will have at least 2 fully mixed tracks ready for mastering, as well as a rich understanding of the various stages of a mixdown. Note: come ready to work in the DAW you are most comfortable with.

The Art of Collaboration

Ever wanted to collaborate with other artists but don't even know where to begin? Whether you're a vocalist wanting to collaborate with a beat maker or a music producer looking to team up with other producers for a project, this cohort is for you!  We'll go over best practices for collaborating, ways to collaborate both long distance and in person, the legal side of musical collaborations and more. This cohort will be experiential, so we will provide you with weekly readings and homework, and you will have the opportunity to connect with others in the cohort each week for collaboration and feedback. By the end of the 8 weeks, you will have a collaborative EP with at least 3 tracks completed, as well as ideas for future collaborations.

Creating an EP from Start to Finish

In this 8 week cohort intensive, learn how to come up with a concept, how start a project from scratch using several creative techniques, how to stay on track with your project (even when you want to scrap it), how to know when your project is finished, how to create the artwork, how to successfully market your music, and much more! By the end of these sessions, you will have a 3-4 track EP ready to share with the world, plus a network of other music producers as part of this cohort. This cohort will be experiential, so we will provide you with weekly readings and homework, and you will have the opportunity to connect with others in the cohort each week for collaboration and feedback. Note: come ready to work in the DAW you are most comfortable with.
