BUILDING BEATS WORKSHOPS
We provide in-school and after-school programs at schools and community centers throughout New York City. We provide our own instructors and are super collaborative in how we run our experiences. Bring us to your school today.
Explore the Beat is part of New York Music Month Extended Play, an initiative of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment.
In partnership with Today's Future Sound, World Up and Beats Rhymes and Life, we were able to provide a workshop for students at the Point to make their own beats for a collaborative mixtape the class was creating.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS
To advance our overall mission of getting as many interested students as possible connected to music making, we add value to our community partners by developing music education curriculum and leading workshops beneficial to their staff and students.
FIELD TRIPS
We partner with top-notch music and DJ companies in New York City to provide educational and engaging field trips to students. Let us know if you would like to plan a field trip with us.
Building Beats took a field trip to the Scratch New York Academy. The guest DJ's Brenmar, Jubilee, Nire, Michael Jukeson and Geko Jones took some time out of their busy schedules to teach the next generation of DJ's and producers.
