We’ve had a very busy May and the rest of spring and summer will be even busier!
Big thanks and shouts to Adidas #NiteJogger's Nite School, the amazing Austin Millz and our very own Fyutch for this very one-of-a-kind in-depth music production series. Select students were able to work one-on-one with Austin and Fyutch and get critiqued on their music during this workshop series.
Anonymous student feedback for our workshop at DYCD’s most recent Youth Summit speaks for itself!
Earlier this month, we hosted a group of very talented students from Vermont’s Friends For A.Dog for a crash course into beat-making by sampling vinyl. Led by our own Pozibelle, Vermont students were paired up with some of our local NYC students for a collaborative beat-making session only from sampling random records that the students had picked out from Academy Records.
Interested in learning how to make a beat by sampling vinyl? Do check out our AirBnB experience. For ages 12 through adult.
Major shouts to Angel aka @AstroAngelMusic for handling DJ duties at this past month’s NY Road Runners race in Jersey City. He was in our program five years ago and is now DJ’ing events and producing music. Holler at us if you want to book him!
