bbLeaders Radio Season 3 Episode 3
Hey bbLeaders Radio listeners! In this episode we have incredible DJs spinning the tracks to what is near and dear to them. Pictured above are the hosts for this episode DJ Yanka, Karesse and Mia. We ask each other, who has control over what we consume? Ideally we want to say the consumer, but with the industry these days, we don’t even know if the artist has that control over what they put out. On the topic of sampling, it takes form into a brand new art piece, even though it is literally stripped and looped from an original source. The best DJs open their minds to find new samples which can take lifetimes. We talk about agency and the choices we have to aide in our own success. Not only that, but I ask, do we have the agency to aide ourselves with all that is going on around us?

It was informative and exciting, just talking about how the music industry benefits off of sampling and the connection between organic and inorganic growth.
The conversation was deep with important information over the way people consume their favorite artists and music.

Every episode of bbleaders radio has had talented people behind it. Many, including myself, came for moral support in the last episode and somehow we ended up in a round table talk! It was the most natural, fun experience!
