Ever wanted to start a podcast about something you love?

It is easy to think of a good idea for a podcast episode; but where to start? Here are some tips to write a great script for a podcast, which you can record using the podcast feature in Soundtrap.

To start, pick a topic you are interested in. It can be anything — something you learned about in school, your opinion on a book or movie, or an analysis of a song or poem. Whatever it is you choose, make sure to take good notes, as you will need them to form your final script.

Use your notes to form a script. It can be in any format that makes sense to you. Bullet points and full sentences are both fine, but make sure not to skip any details. If you think it is too long, read through it again and take out unnecessary information. Make sure to proofread; sometimes it is helpful to have someone else take a look at it before you start recording.

When you are ready to record, open soundtrap and select the Podcast option in a new studio. Then, start recording! To make your podcast sound even more professional, add sound effects and intro/outro music, as well as sound effects. You can even import your own sounds using the “import file” option and selecting an MP3 file.

See below for an example of a podcast script and the final version discussing the meaning of lyrics in a song.
