For young New Yorkers, a passion for music can be the beginning of a creative future. Building that future takes opportunities to learn, people who offer guidance, and connections that open doors.
Friends of Building Beats brings together people who want to create those opportunities. Through annual giving, professional expertise, and personal connections, Friends support young people as they develop their skills, explore creative careers, and take their next steps. Become a Friend with an annual gift of $500 or more by December 31, 2026. Gifts of any amount are always welcome!
Once you become a friend, you are a part of this community. Every Friend will be invited to connect, attend quarterly gatherings, share their expertise, and find meaningful ways to get involved.

Mentor & Share Your Expertise: Lead a masterclass or mentor young people through our bbLeaders workforce development program.
Open Doors at Work: Connect Building Beats to employee giving, corporate matching, or employee resource group (ERG) grants.
Spread the Word: Amplify our work through your personal and professional networks.
Shape the Conversation: Lead a panel or moderate a discussion at our Fall 2027 Creative Career Summit.
