Building Beats is always looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who reflect our Core Values of Learning, Leadership, and Creativity to join our team. Applications for Workshop Leaders, Interns, and Volunteers are accepted on a rolling basis.

workshop leader

Building Beats Workshop Leaders are community superstars who use their Music Production and DJing skills to mentor and develop the young people we work with. They facilitate workshops at schools, community centers, and other youth spaces all over the city.

Intern

Building Beats Internships provide a wealth of experience in Nonprofit Management and Arts Administration. Interns will be based out of our office headquarters, where they will work with administrative staff on Community Engagement, Data Collection, Program Evaluation, and more. Internships are currently unpaid.

volunteer

Building Beats Volunteers assist our Workshop Leaders in their classes and also provide technical support for our Community Events, Student Showcases, and other special projects.

core team

The Building Beats Core Team is the engine that keeps the organization running. From fielding program inquiries and locking down new clients, to designing and piloting new curricula and partnerships, the Core Team takes care of all the administrative work to ensure that our Workshop Leaders can dedicate their full time and attention to working directly with our young people. Core Team members work out of the Building Beats office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We accept applications to our Operations and Finance, Fundraising and Development, Sales and Marketing, and Programming Departments on a rolling basis.
