workshop leader - NyC/LA
Building Beats Workshop Leaders are community superstars who use their Music Production and DJing skills to mentor and develop the young people we work with. They facilitate workshops remotely and in person at schools, community centers, and other youth spaces in NYC & LA.
Workshop Leader Hourly Wage: $65/hour
Workshop Leader Assistant Hourly Wage: $35/hour
core team
The Building Beats Core Team is the engine that keeps the organization running. From fielding program inquiries and locking down new clients, to designing and piloting new curricula and partnerships, the Core Team takes care of all the administrative work to ensure that our Workshop Leaders can dedicate their full time and attention to working directly with our young people. Core Team members have the option to work remotely or out of the Building Beats office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn while observing Covid-19 safety protocols. We accept applications to our Operations and Finance, Fundraising and Development, Sales and Marketing, and Programming Departments on a rolling basis.
Salary Wage: 45k-70k annually DOE
Intern
Building Beats Internships provide a wealth of experience in Nonprofit Management and Arts Administration. Interns will work with administrative staff on Community Engagement, Data Collection, Program Evaluation, and more.
Hourly Wage: $15/hour
bbleader
A bbLeader will further develop their skills outside the classroom through our mentorship program, workshops, gigs and employment opportunities with a focus on entrepreneurship, leadership and life skills allowing the student to become a successful creative professional.
volunteer
Building Beats Volunteers provide technical support for our Community Events, Student Showcases, and other special projects.
